Nancy Workman Bio

Nancy Workman and her husband Reed owned and operated Workman Construction, a multi-million dollar concrete and pipe company for over 30 years before she was elected to the Salt Lake County Recorder’s office in 1994. She went on to become Salt Lake County’s first Mayor in 2000 where she served for four years.

Nancy currently serves as the President & CEO of the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce where she has been since March of 2006. Nancy’s main focus at the Chamber has been to build a strong and influential Board of Directors. As a result of this aggressive board development, the Chamber has more than doubled it’s membership enrollment and it’s annual budget. During Nancy’s tenure, the Chamber has implemented events such as the Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament, the Titan Awards, the Inaugural Gala, the Family Golf Fair, the Utah Long Drive Championship and the South Valley Business Expo.

Nancy enjoys horseback riding, ATV riding and playing with her grandkids in her spare time.
